Nah really just been REAL busy with life 101 as I like to call it. I was over at 1000 Buffalo's site for my daily dose of my best friends world (which apears to be just a crazy as mine!) and noticed this post which I just had to copy here:
The first thing I heard on the radio this morning, pre-California sunshine, was that Syd Barrett passed away last week. Syd was a founding member of Pink Floyd who had to step down before they made it big. That I recall, the band always acknowledged the start Syd have given them, and Wish You Were Here was a tribute to him and his influence.
Not much to say that Pink Floyd hasn’t already said:
Remember when you were young,
You shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there’s a look in your eyes,
Like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire
Of childhood and stardom,
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
Shine on, Syd.
Yes Syd is gone! Pink Floyd holds some very special memories for me and I am sure for allot of use that are in our late 30's or older!
Anyway as Molotov said...shine on Syd, shine on!
Peace,
Mr. Mean
